Disinfection Request – River Ythan
Given the recently reported fish mortalities on the river Ythan together with further signs of fish in distress and to prevent further contamination to other rivers, we have been advised to request members to disinfect their angling equipment if they have fished the river Ythan.
The cause of these fatalities are yet unknown however, the relevant authorities are aware of the situation and are further investigating. When we are in receipt of more information or further action that we may have to undertake we will advise members accordingly.
