Reduced Angling Effort
Given the current hot weather and low water conditions on our rivers which we are currently experiencing causing excessive stress to fish, the Association will follow the scientific advice and recommendations to mitigate further stress.
Therefore, although angling will continue on our rivers, we have cancelled the mid-session booking slots on Kingcausie, Banchory Devenick and Middle Drum. We also request fishing on all our rivers be restricted to during the coolest part of the day and that no fishing will take place between 1100 hours and 2100 hours.
These restrictions are only temporary, and should conditions improve we will inform you accordingly. We trust that you will understand and accept this action by the Association as the welfare of fish is paramount to us all.
