A recent press release by your Association – please share widely
You may have seen these in the media recently, for example, Aberdeen Journals Evening Express on Saturday 21 March 2026 published the following:
Unlock exclusive fishing rights
The Aberdeen and District Angling Association (ADAA), the largest angling association in Scotland with more than 600 members and with a thriving junior commitment, welcomes new members.
Being a member of the ADAA entitles you the exclusive right to fish for salmon trout and sea trout on over 40km of river fishing on the Dee, Don, Ythan and Feugh, plus two stillwater fisheries stocked with hard fighting rainbow trout.
And there’s more. The Association has a permit exchange agreement with Inverness Angling Club and the Loch Achonechie Angling Association offering members of the ADAA more fishing on the River Ness, River Beauly and fantastic loch fishing in the Highlands at no extra cost.
There are angling competitions both locally and away days visiting other fisheries throughout the season.

The Association’s headquarters, The Bothy on Riverside Drive, adjacent to the River Dee, is undergoing improvements thanks to securing funding from the National Lottery and the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation.
At the Bothy, there are fly-tying classes, casting tuition from accredited tutors for both senior and juniors, plus educational and hands-on programmes on fishery management.
There’s more to a day’s fishing when you join the ADAA. THE SEASON IS JUST STARTING SO COME AND JOIN US.
