Those of you at the 2026 ADAA AGM may recall during my Presidential Remarks I referred to the complicated situation regarding these beats.

We now have received formal confirmation from the Don District Salmon Fishery Board that the Association are no longer paying the annual assessments for them and therefore members must stop fishing them until further notice. Discussions are ongoing with the owner of the beats about the situation.

In anticipation of legal matters reaching a satisfactory conclusion soon and in agreement with the Proprietor it has been agreed to open up the beat for online bookings from Friday 1 May 2026.

Some preparatory maintenance works have also been carried out, and more are scheduled.

As a reminder the rules are the same as most other beats on the River Don, and it will be subject to a maximum number of rods of 4 a day via the online booking system. These are now live.
