Pots and Fords Trophy 2009
Seven anglers took part in this year's competition, the first time it has ever been run on a complete catch and release points system.
The points system worked as follows: fish from 10-12 inches = 1 point, 12-14 inches = 2 points, 14 inches and above = 3 points.
On the day, 13 finnock and 1 sea trout were caught. There were also a few sea trout kelts taken which along with all the other fish caught were all safely returned to the water.
Fred Macauley was the first angler off the mark with a nice 12" finnock, with Philip Smith following closely behind. All other anglers starting to land fish. Only one angler had a disappointing day with no fish taken.
1st Place - Philip Smith with 4 finnock and 1 sea trout = 7 points
Runner up - John Stephen with 2 finnock = 4 points
