ADAA Team Qualify For The European Final

This year’s ADAA 6-man team of Kenny Riddlell (captain) Mike Cordiner, Ernie McKay, Richard McHattie, Paul Toseland and Chris McAllister has succeeded in qualifying for the European Final at Rutland for the second year in a row.

The team fought off stiff competition in the qualifier at the Lake of Menteith with the guys catching a total of 35 rainbows, including the team’s top catch of 9 by Richard McHattie.

The team will fish the two-day final at Rutland on 22nd and 23rd August, managing a practice on the 21st (only 3,100 acres to suss out).

Preparation is now well underway digesting as much archived information about Rutland Water as possible and getting those all important killer patterns tied up.

The guys will be travelling by mini bus on the 8-hour journey and if last year is anything to go by it is recommended that a window is kept open!
