Q How many exchange permit booklets are available to ADAA members?
A Two per day, only available Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Q How do ADAA members obtain exchange permits?
A From Somers Fishing Tackle shop. They will retain record of members name, ADAA membership number, and date fishing
Q Are there rules and maps available?
A Yes- when collecting permit, also see notes below and Maps ( Westwater ) ( Southesk)
Q Once exchange permit is obtained when fishing what should ADAA members carry with them?
A The permit, a copy of the rules, their ADAA membership card, & valid season card (there is also a notice to display on car windscreen)
Q Once fishing has ceased for the day are ADAA members required to make a catch return to Brechin Angling Club?
A Yes- within 48 hours- catch return form & freepost envelope provided when collecting permit from Somers.

TO MEMBERS AND VISITORS.
Following a break down in negotiations
regarding the lease & levies for
Witton Estate and Drumcairn beats of the
West Water. Theses beats should not be
fished by members in season 2007.
Members are requested to ensure that
they are aware of all beat limits and
that these are adhered to.
Members will be informed by newsletter,
should these beats become available to
fish in season 2007.

BRECHIN ANGLING CLUB RULES
GENERAL RULES
- Each member on entering the Club shall receive a copy of these rules thereby binding themselves to observe them.
- Members must always fish in a sportsmanlike manner and are prohibited from breaking fences, trespassing, camping, lighting fires or taking with them Dogs, Ferrets, Guns or any instrument for killing Game, using nets, Explosives or Poisonous substances for taking or killing fish.
- All fish less than 10 inches in length to be released carefully back into the water. (measured from the nose to the V of the tail)
- An outright ban is imposed on Prawn and Shrimp fishing on all Brechin Angling Club waters.
Membership cards must be carried at all times when fishing and must be shown on request by keepers or other authorised persons
- CATCH LIMITS ON ALL SALMON FISHINGS. Daily Two fish of the species Salmon, Grilse or Sea Trout or a mixture of the aforesaid species. Weekly Four fish of the species Salmon, Grilse or Sea Trout or a mixture of the aforesaid species. This applies to all anglers whether members, guests or non-member permit holders.
- All foul hooked fish, "unseasonable" and coloured fish to be carefully retumed to the water.
- Returns of all Salmon, Grilse and Sea Trout caught on all beats of the West Water and South Esk, (this includes NIL returns) must be made to the Secretary at or before the November meeting. Fish caught and released must also be recorded.
- Returns of all Trout taken from Loch Saugh must be made by the same meeting.
- Any member failing to give proper returns in good time will be subject to a fine of £10.00 added to the following year's subscription.
- To assist work carried out by Bailiffs a member-ship No Card will be issued every year. This card "must" be displayed on member's vehicle wind-screen whilst fishing all waters.
Any member found guilty of a breach of the fore-going rules may be EXPELLED from the club and forfeits any right they may have to the funds thereof
GLENLETHNOT GROUSE MOOR FISHINGS. Members are permitted to fish from the Freoch Burn to School Wood approx, 'h Mile above Lethnot Bridge, upper limit of Drumcaim Fishings, on the North Bank only. Juniors Permitted.
WEST WATER (CLOCHIE) SALMON FISHINGS. Members are permitted to fish from the Mill Bum below the Bridge of Lethnot down to the upper limit of Edinmore Properties Fishing's on the North Bank only. Juniors permitted.
EDINMORE PROPERTIES.(LOWER CLOCHIE)
Members are permitted to fish from lower limit of the West Water (Clochie) Fishing's to Craigannanie Pool, upper limit of Witton Estates, on the North Bank only. Juniors permitted.
DALHOUSIE ESTATES (SLATEFORD). Members are permitted to fish from the Margie Bum to the Inchbare Bridge on the North Bank only excluding the sign posted area at the "Loups". Worm fishing is only permitted 1st April to 31st August inclusive, using a single bait hook only minimum size 8. No worm fishing permitted 16th February to 31st March and 1st September to 31st October inclusive. Juniors permitted.
LUNDIE CASTLE FISHINGS.
Members are permitted to fish from the signpost at the Lundie March above the Loups to the signpost at the Balnamoon March on the south bank only. Juniors permitted.
2. Members must inform the Club Secretary prior to having guests on the above waters.
SOUTH ESK FISHINGS :
DALGETY (MATRIX) & KINCRAIG FISHINGS.
Permits to be carried at all times.
Cars must be parked where no interference will be caused to adjacent properties.
Fishing to be by Fly and Spinning only. (NO BAIT) Maximum of 4 rods on Kincraig Fishing's.
KINNAIRD FISHINGS
Lower Kinnaird leased 10th September to 15th September. Tickets must be obtained in advance from the Secretary, Cost £25:00 per rod per day. Maximum of 4 rods per day.
LOCH SAUGH FISHING
- Eight Guest Tickets are allowed each member. These must be obtained in advance from Newsplus, price £5:00.
- Fishing is by Fly only.
- Basket limit is 4 fish. Per Day. When limit has been reached all further fish must be returned care-fully to the water.
All vehicles must be parked at the Boathouse car park
- Float Tubes are not permitted on the loch.
- Junior members may be granted special permission to fish worm by strictly controlled special arrangement.
- Juniors are only allowed in boats when accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. USE LIFE JACKETS.Please observe the advice in the boat-house regarding boat stability and safety.
