Dee Season Extension Notice 2007

The Annual Close Time (Dee Salmon Fishery District) Order 2007
- The Dee District Salmon Fishery Board under terms of Section 37 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 2003 have applied to Scottish Ministers to extend the period that it is permissible to fish by rod and line within the annual close time and, having regard for Schedule 1 of that Act, hereby seeks representations or objections with respect to the proposals set out below.
- In the River Dee and its tributaries, the annual close time currently extends from 27th August until 10th February the following year. Fishing for salmon by rod and line during the annual close time is permitted in the periods 27th August until 30th September, and 1st February until 10th February, all dates inclusive. The Dee District Salmon Fishery Board has applied to the Scottish Ministers to change the date of the annual close time when it is permissible to fish for and take salmon by rod and line to 27th August until 15th October, and 1st February until 10th February, all dates inclusive. The current situation with the Rivers Cowie and Carron shall remain unchanged.
- Written representations or objections with respect to the proposal should be lodged with the Scottish Executive Rural Affairs Department, Pentland House, Room 411, 47 Robbs Loan, Edinburgh EH14 1TY on or before July 20th 2007.
