Balbithan and Torryburn Beat

There is good news for ADAA members and potential ADAA members with the announcement that the Association have been successful in leasing the Balbithan and Torryburn fishing's on the Don for the 2012 season.

The fishings extend on the north bank from above the metal bridge at Kintore and joins the existing upper Fintray Association water, with its parking area at Boat of Hatton and on the south from Tuach Burn for approx. 2.2 miles downstream. The rules will be as Lower Parkhill except no sunday fishing.

This long double bank beat has apparently been lightly fished for some time and Bob Dey, ADAA President says that on walking the beat he noted large numbers of excellent big trout.

It is hoped that members will continue with their excellent catch and release levels from recent years. In 2011 we returned almost 90% of the trout caught on ADAA waters on the Don
