A.D.A.A Casting Instruction in association with Willie Banks A.P.G.A.I.

Aberdeen and District Angling Association, in partnership with Willie Banks , qualified APGAI instructor, are pleased to make available casting lessons at special rates to ADAA members which would be held at the Loch of Loirston for trout and the famous Tilbouries Beat of the River Dee for Spey and other Salmon casting disciplines. Tutition can now also be booked using this web site for Non ADAA members see details below.

Biography

  • Willie Banks is a APGAI Qualified instructor for both both Salmon and Trout casting.

  • Tuition for salmon would take place at a beautiful location on the Tilbouries beat ( map location, take road immediately to the right of the number 38 on this map off the South Deeside Road) on the Aberdeenshire Dee and the ADAA Loch of Loirston, just south of Aberdeen, for Trout.

  • All casting disciplines can be taught including Overhead,Speycasting and Snakeroll techniques.

  • Willie is renowned for teaching newcomers to the sport, including all aspects of fishing methods,tackle use and etiquette.

  • Fishing Tackle can be supplied if required, when applying please state if this is required.

  • If available, why not take take the opportunity of fishing this famous beat at a special ADAA price and put those lessons into practice!!

Detail

  • In order to provide high quality tuition it is proposed that the instruction will be given to no more than three adults or six juveniles at one time per hour session

  • The cost per adult ADAA member for tuition, trout or salmon, shall be the special ADAA price of £ 25.00 per hour with Non ADAA members being charged an excellent value cost of £30.00 per hour session. It is recommended that one hours session only is taken at a time because of the amount of information to absorb followed by a self practice session

  • If requested special individual tuition packages can be arranged for an extra £5.00 per session.

  • juveniles ADAA members ( 18 and below) will be charged £20.00 per hour, while non ADAA juvenile members will be charged £25.00

  • If you want to fish Tilbouries a £5.0 reduction on the then current daily rate will be available to ADAA members subject to production of the ADAA Membership card and availability (phone 07776146469 and mention ADAA)

  • Anglers taking part in tuition at Tilbouries will be required to complete a Gyrodactylus Salaris declaration Please print off a copy when taking casting tuition or fishing and hand a completed copy to Willie on the day. If he is not available please leave in the Tilboures Bothy.

  • Once confirmation of the booking is received by the applicant from the ADAA payment should be made by cheque to the Aberdeen and District Angling Association and sent to Stuart Fleming, 5 Turnstone Court, Newtownhill , Stonehaven, AB39 3XG
